A lean MVP for Wuntu Rewards

“Graham would be a great asset to any team. He works effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams across multiple projects. He has a strong natural ability across design, development, and implementation. While working on Wuntu, Graham elevated the product experience by introducing new card designs that improved engagement, consistently placing the customer at the centre of his decision-making.”
Project summary
Senior Product Designer leading UX/UI for Wuntu’s first Rewards MVP.
Introducing rewards in a way that was immediately understandable, engaging and technically feasible.
Reducing cognitive load while supporting multiple reward mechanics within MVP constraints.
Simplified flows contributed to a 2x improvement in onboarding completion and faster validation of the rewards proposition.
My role
I was the Senior Product Designer on the first MVP release of Three’s Wuntu Rewards app. My focus was shaping the product flow, refining the interface and making sure the MVP was engaging without becoming too heavy to launch.
Designing real-world rewards users actually redeem

Problem
The initial MVP needed to introduce value quickly while remaining simple enough for broad adoption. Users had to understand rewards, offers, and entry mechanics with minimal friction, while the product team needed a design that could flex around technical constraints and evolve post-launch.
Making rewards clear, time-bound, and actionable

Challenges
The project required balancing ease of use, speed of delivery and engineering constraints:
- Reward mechanics: Offers, prize draws, wallet saves and notifications needed to feel like one product rather than separate features.
- Cognitive load: Information had to be instantly understandable, especially for first-time users.
- Technical constraints: The MVP needed to stay lightweight, which meant working closely with developers to keep the product simple without making it feel thin.

Outcome
The design work helped the team launch the MVP, test the rewards proposition and improve early adoption.
- Faster validation of the core rewards proposition
- 2× improvement in onboarding completion through simplified flows
- Clearer insight into what users actually valued before scaling
- Reduced wasted development by testing assumptions early
Designing for ongoing engagement, not one-off launches
